As such the principle aim of the AIFRM is to provide an Africa-centric approach to the challenges posed in the field of Ethics, Governance, Risk and Compliance taking into consideration the unique challenges faced in the implementation and execution of the Good Governance agenda on the Continent without compromising the highest levels of standards and practices.

What is the Africa Institute of Fraud Risk Management?

The AIFRM provides news, awareness, knowledge, skills, information and discussion resources for Africans from all walks of life and across the African diaspora to research and engage on the relevant subjects with each other and the world freely.

The AIFRM acts as a Better Business Bureau and offers a high level Fraud Consulting and Fraud Investigation Service in most English speaking countries in Africa through its Affiliate and Associate member program.

It is a centre for the pursuit of excellence in the area of Fraud Risk Management, Investigation and Training in Africa.

The Fraud Risk Management Profession ranks among the youngest of modern professions; The term ‘Forensic Auditor’ having only been coined as recently as 1989, in South Africa by Tim Bashall of KPMG (SA).

The AIFRM is fundamentally a platform to enhance Africa’s capabilities to combat fraud and corruption in order to improve financial integrity and corporate morality for the purpose of improving Africa’s image as an attractive and viable investment destination and support and promote ethical leadership, economic growth and sustainable development on the African Continent.
